a reason why it is perhaps good to live at least part of ones life surrounded by mountains.... in this geographical environment it is possible to mistake clouds for mountains OR at least be aware that you can never be sure and therefore just enjoy the beauty in the midst of uncertainty about where the physical world ends and the constantly changing world of weather begins which perhaps suggests some interesting things about the nature of horizons/things at the limits of our vision/comprehension ----the feeling/idea that we live in a spherical dome as being caused by the nature of the horizon ---- i.e. the idea itself, the concept of a spherical dome, is an expression of the concept of a horizon. **********the entire concept of curvature or circular is the spatial manifestation of the limits of understanding......********for example, curved space.......pi, as the expression of the un-understandable consequences of the notion of a circle THE DOME CAN NEVER BE COMPLETE, THERE IS ALWAYS A HORIZON....if there were a flat earth sky, what would it proceed into, what is at the edge of 'space'........IT ALL ASSUMES A HORIZON so what does this make the relationship between curvature and aesthetic beauty...straightness and comprehension? art = mystery = circle
