what does that mean?

                 perhaps the regular instituting of such a ceremony within any organisation that deals extensively with money would give an important opportunity for considering exactly what money is by means of considering the life of the note to be burned...perhaps it was the pocket money of a child who spent it all on sweets, and was then given as change to a man who put it on a horse that came in at 50-1 and then threw all the notes up in the air in celebration and this note was blown away to be picked up by a homeless person to buy drugs in sweet relief to then be turned into electrical money to flow into the offshore world to buy arms and bring down governments and buy suits and clean teeth

which is to say, in thinking about the life of that money, one might realise that it does good things and bad things - and if it does bad things, its not the money itself that does it.

and ultimately this may do something to break the spell of money, which has become distorted from something purely instrumental as is revealed by considering its narrative life, and has instead become one of the supreme means of power....leading to insatiable and ultimately destructive desires for never-ending amounts of it.....

while it might seems wasteful to burn money that could be used to buy food to give to a hungry person, perhaps there is a higher value in breaking this spell of money and challenging the way in which people allow it to effect them and govern their actions.....its dissolution and destruction in the natural force of fire might be of such power that maybe on the basis of this approach ultimately there might be less hungry people, given that the forces manifested in the money in the first place are to a large extent responsible for this hunger...
